Alexis Polles, MD

Dr. Polles is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine.  For the past 30 years her practice has been devoted to treating those with addiction and co-occurring disorders at all levels of care, specializing in the treatment of trauma and addiction.  Alexis graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine, completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at LSU Charity Hospital and a residency in psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  She has held faculty appointments at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the University of Florida, and at the William Carey School of Osteopathic Medicine.  She has been on the Board of the Mississippi Chapter of the Society of Addiction Medicine and is currently a member at large of the Board of the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine.  Alexis is on the Board of the Florida Medical Professionals Group.  She is a member of several professional associations.   Alexis was a primary figure in the development and implementation of Pine Grove’s Professional Enhancement Program, a unit dedicated to evaluating and serving those with workplace behaviors that threatened the smooth delivery of care in hospital settings.  In addition, she served as a founding staff member and  Medical Director of the Gentle Path Program at Pine Grove, with direct training and guidance by Dr. Patrick Carnes.

She was the Medical Director and CEO of the Mississippi Professionals Health Program and joined the Florida Professionals Resource Network as Medical Director and CEO in January of 2017.
